1906
A Novel
James Dalessandro
A historical page-turner with a strong and resourceful heroine/narrator, 1906 brings to life the untold scandal and intrigue surrounding the real events of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake—with the excitement and pace of a major motion picture. The novel has been sold for a film by Barry Levinson’s Baltimore Springcreek Productions and Warner Brothers, aiming for a release to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the quake in 2006. Levinson himself is slated to direct.
Born in Ohio and a screenwriter in Los Angeles for many years, James Dalessandro now lives in San Francisco, where he teaches screenwriting. He is the author of Bohemian Heart and Citizen Jane.
