Krazy & Ignatz 1937–1938

Shifting Sands Dusts Its Cheeks in Powdered Beauty

George Herriman

The multi-Harvey and Eisner award-winning series, each volume lovingly packaged by Chris Ware, continues in full colour in this second colour volume. Krazy Kat was named the greatest comic of the 20th century by the editorial board of The Comics Journal. Including the Sunday strips from all of 1937 and 1938, with a massive amount of rare colour artwork, most of the strips in this volume have not been seen in print since originally running in Hearst newspapers.

George Herriman was born in New Orleans in 1880 and died in Los Angeles in 1944, his ashes scattered in Monument Valley, Arizona.
