Charles M. Schulz

introduction by Hal Hartley

With over 500,000 copies sold worldwide, the multiple award-winning Complete Peanuts series continues into the mid-1960s, one of Charles Schulz's peak periods of creativity. This latest in the series features an introduction by Hal Hartley.

Snoopy has become the strip's dominant personality, and this volume marks two milestones for the character: the first of many "dogfights" with the nefarious Red Baron and the launch of his writing career ("It was a dark and stormy night ..."). Two new characters-including Peppermint Patty-are introduced. Meanwhile, Linus' blanket becomes animate, Sally starts wearing an eye patch, and Lucy hires substitutes for her psychiatric practice, with mixed results.

The Complete Peanuts series has won Eisner and Harvey Awards and was a 2005 Quills Award nominee.

Charles M. Schulz was born in 1922 and passed away in 2000.
